At 4 p.m. on 24 July, the closing exhibition of the 8th International Ceramic Art Symposium CERAMIC LABORATORY will be unveiled at Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre.
Daugavpils receives the 8th International Ceramic Art Symposium “Ceramic Laboratory”, which involves a fortnight of intensive studio work by an international team of artists, giving lectures and public presentations, and preparing an exhibition at Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre.
From 13 until 24 July, Viļaka District will become the venue for the 4th international painting plein air “Valdis Bušs”.

At 4 p.m. on Friday 3 July, Latvian ceramicist, associate professor at the Art Academy of Latvia, Līga Skariņa, will open her solo exhibition “Material. Form. Light” at Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre.

At 4 p.m. on Friday 3 July Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre will open the solo exhibition “Magical World” by internationally recognised American artist, Hunt Slonem.
Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre offers a retrospective exhibition “In My Beginning Is My End” by Chinese abstractionist Hsiao Chin. A selection of the work can be viewed at present in the permanent exhibition sector ‘Mark Rothko: Life and Art’. The duration of the show till 25 October.
In keeping with the restrictions and safety measures decreed by the government, as of May 16, Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre will open its doors to visitors with six temporary exhibitions and a permanent exhibit featuring original works by artist Mark Rothko.
Having rescheduled the 3rd Latvia Ceramics Biennale to the summer of 2021, its organisers extend the application deadline for the international juried exhibition of ceramics “Martinsons Award” until 1 November 2020.
