For many years Daugavpils City with numerous cultural activities is involved in the International Festival “Slaviansky Bazar” that takes place for already 22nd time in Vitebsk (Belarus).
Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre in cooperation with Daugavpils City Culture Department and State Culture Capital Foundation (SCCF), and with the support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, is organizing two exhibitions in Vitebsk Regional History Museum.
Exhibition „Gold” – exhibition of Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre collection will be available for visitors from 13th July till 10th August, 2013. Exhibition opening – 13th July at 13:00.
The collection of Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre, compiled in the result of former International plein-airs in 2005-2012 and from donations of artists, is the gold of the city and the art centre. The exposition includes only part of the collection and represents the following authors:

Exhibition „Small – great Daugavpils” – exhibition of the first Latgale Graphic Art Symposium will be seen from 14th July till 10th August, 2013. Exhibition opening – 14th July at 12:00.
Exposition of miniature graphic “Small – great Daugavpils” includes artworks, which are created during 1st Latgale Graphic Art Symposium, which took place in autumn 2012 in Daugavpils. During this symposium 18 artists from Latvia and Lithuania, working close to each other and sharing experience, emotions and adventures, as well as getting inspiration from rich Daugavpils culturally historical environment and beautiful nature of Latgale, created a lot of amazing miniature graphics in different styles and techniques!
